Service

DBPR Referral & License Defense

When a stop-work order triggers a mandatory referral against your contractor license.

Section 440.107(14), Florida Statutes, requires the Department to immediately notify DBPR when a certified or registered contractor fails to secure coverage. That referral becomes a licensing complaint with its own investigator, its own deadlines and its own penalties. We defend the license from the first investigator letter through the Construction Industry Licensing Board.

What is included

  • Response to the DBPR investigator
  • Probable cause and administrative complaint defense
  • Board appearances and settlement stipulations
  • Probation packets and compliance

How it starts

Call (850) 766-6825 or send the form. We talk through the order, the records request and the dates, and tell you honestly what we think the case needs. If it is this service, you can pay online and we start the same day; if it is something else, we say so.

If you have been served and the investigator is still there, do not fill out a form. Call.

Tell us what happened. We answer around the clock.

Every message goes straight to Adrian Middleton's phone. If the investigator is still on your site, do not fill out a form: call or text the cell and put Adrian on the line with them.

  • · Do not hand over records until you know what is in them.
  • · Do not give a statement to the investigator without counsel.
  • · Do not keep working on the job site after the order is posted.

Sending this form does not create an attorney-client relationship. Do not include confidential details until we have spoken.
